Never had any problems with my 900.
But, I have never loaded the v1.2 update.
I didn't trust it from the beginning when I heard of problems.
I am still running v1.1
I like the 3 note chord command from left hand too. 1.2 wanted
to change that.
So in light of this, how many screen freezers have indeed loaded
the v1.2?
Secondarily, I do not turn mine off. So Little power required
that I feel the electronics don't go cold/hot. But stay stable.
Auto off is indeed and surely disabled.
I also have it on the UPS...!

You should turn it off because the screen will fail if showing the same image for a long period..by fail i dont mean it will stop workimg at all but when you change lets say from style play sto style record ,of not yet, sometime in the future, you will see a static mirror of the style play image in every menu.Thats a problem for all display devices including older CRT monitors..

MCK, Good thinking!! However the work around is this: Lower
the brightness of the screen. (Which your thought led me to do.)

Menu > Dial

Almost dark. About 5% of full on bright.

I use the 900 a lot. And man o man that boot time!

If the display burns in, we'll have it replaced. There is no
evidence of this two year old display having a burn.

Compromise is fine with me. Thanks for the idea!

Well brightness is nothing like contrast so you just altered what you see , the pixels on screen are still in charge and showing the same color!
If you have it like that for 2 years then maybe the display is top quality or a small burn in doesn't matter that much as you are not playing video on it hahaha :)
You are talking about the pa900 boot time but you wouldn't say it if you had a pa800 256mb (boot time around 4:30 minutes) hahahah

I've just bought a PA900 and already experienced with the screen freeze. When it does, the screen will not respond at all and I have to touch any other button from the keyboard then it will get out of the freeze mode. I usually press the Exit button or step on the damper pedal. My PA900 is running OS 1.20.

So is this issue for all the keyboards?

Thanks

Pa900 Freeze

I haven't any issues with the problems that have been discussed, but I do get a Timeout Entry (or something like that) freeze when I try to load a large mp3 file usually exceeding 50 Mb. I usually just turn it off. It's backround music anyway, but I learned to shorten the files (20 min) and had no problem after that.
