Copying Elements of Existing Styles into New Style

Post by k_sac »

I am looking at page 288 of the most current manual and I am unable to get to this screen. I want to copy different drum variation elements into a new user style from other styles. I can't seem to figure out how to make this happen. Any suggestions?

I have the most current manual version v2_0_E13

Yes, I am in "Style Play" when I press the "Record" button. Yes, I have a "User" style loaded and not a "factory" style loaded when I press the record button.[/img]

Hi Karen,

Hope this video helps:

Copy from style feature:

It doesn't really matter if the style is factory or user, you'd still follow the same steps. (This is assuming you want to copy content to the same track type. Example: Drum track from style A to Drum track of Style B...etc)

Oh my. Missing from the instruction manual is:

From the Style Play screen, press "Record" button, then press "Record/Edit Current Style" - THEN PRESS "MENU" THEN PRESS "STYLE EDIT".

I hate to say it, but this manual has been a bitch to use. They don't always tell you how to get to certain screens - it is so aggravating. Even when I go to the top of the section - that information is NOT there.

I know! I had my own share of problems with the Pa4x/nanoPAD2. Certain parts could not be any more ambiguous!
