I still don’t have any idea how i have altered this. Now Combi work as well. But there’s som much to screw up with the sound if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing. And there’s no UNDO! Only power recycle.

All I know is that Kronos is too deep for me and it requires days of study to figure its relations and algorithms in programming. That makes me weary.
I don't experiment or do any deep programming. I am 100% absorbed in song writing, recording .

COMPARE works like Undo. At least it does in SEQ mode.

cool you back tracked and figured out what you did.

you play drums much better than I can ;)

I am so average, I had to decrease the BPM on all the combis by 50% to have a chance to play them :)

Here I come again...
I have bought Kronos for HI FI sounds. If it disappoints me in that main feature, than I’m really giving up. Sounds are great in general, but sound card is producing strange cliks and some kind of overload noises when piano is at high velocity.

To trigger the problem, do this:

1. Select first piano, grand piano.
2. Press hard (high velocity) with both hands as many keys as possible in the middle of keyboard. Keep hands pressed down to sustain sound. (First time I did that was out of anger for unsuccessful practice)
3. Can you notice a small short “click” after few seconds? Similar as vinil record would sound with dust in grooves.

I’d like to figure if it’s related to my board only. I know this can be fixed in software patch.

sound card ?

difficult to comment on the 'click ' noise

I hope you are not trying too much to produce unusual results.

Maybe post a you Tube

Thanks GregC! You’re the guardian angel of this topic!

Sound card? Well, I meant whatever is controlling the sound, I guess it’s processor itself if there’s no dedicated sound module. I have noticed that some part of the problem is related to midi channel gain level.

As for “Giving up” ... I was referring to mechanical problems with keys, which bother me and disapointed me pretty much, considering the price of this board. Been at workshop already.... But that’s no QUIRK, that’s just lame...

I’m planning to record all this sound problem examples and upload to yt.

Can you suggest how to technically do that? I would like to get the soundtrack directly from Kronos. Using speakers and mike to catch sound is not good enough, especially for such delicate details.
