Accidentally reversed one of batteries + recording question

Post by 326power »

Probably a bit stupid question, but anyway.
I was installing batteries in my Volca Bass and accidentally reversed one of them. Volca didn't power on after that, i quickly figured out the problem and reversed the battery back to normal.
Volca works just fine after that, however - could i damage something this way?
As i understand, total voltage in a circuit was only 6V (because reversed battery became -1.5v instead of +1.5v) and volca didn't turn on because of too low voltage. So probably nothing could be damaged.
But could i fry the battery this way? It worked well too.

And to the recording question. (pretty stupid one again, but im just beginner)
I want to record my stuff straight out mixer to the PC. Can i just hook up mixer output to pc line input?

Hello there.
I don't think you can damage much that way.
Regards to mixer recording, that's the way to go. Use two channels on your interface for your mixers master output left & right.
