phpBB version - upgrade?

I’m not sure what version of phpBB you are using, but I’m very concerned about security implications of unpatched and old software running on perhaps old php versions,

Php7 is very fast and more secure. But you would also need to be using latest update versions. Old software is exposed to security attacks. And emails and passwords NEED to be secure. Your servers or settings really need to be using https too.

I know this is volunteer run, but there are still legal and moral responsibilities towards the forum users.
