Patches all modulate by default?

Post by mariohardleft99 »

Got a weird issue here: Every time I call up a patch, the modulation is engaged, as if I were pushing the joystick.

I have to actually move the joystick to get the modulation to stop — and then the patch works normally, with the joystick triggering and stopping modulation.

That is, it works normally until I select another patch, and the whole thing starts over again!

Any thoughts on what could cause this?

Thanks!

sounds like you have a pedal, an expression pedal set in global to do that.

check your pedal assignments in Global/controllers

I just had the same thing happen, recently. I would call up a program and it would modulate in the +Y position. I thought my joystick was broken, so I ordered another from Syntaur. I never installed it. Apparently, the issue was something else and the problem corrected itself - probably when I loaded in a different project and Global configuration. Whatever it was, it hasn't acted up in 3 or 4 weeks.

That was an issue for me when my foot switch malfunctioned. It flipped polarity at the switch and made the pedal give an on signal when it was not being pressed.

If you do not have a faulty foot switch or foot pedal, then maybe you have a conflicting polarity setting for the foot switch or pedal.

Foot switch or pedal can do it but i think Standard SW 1&2 settings that programs tend to follow, are tied to JS and can complicate things..

Global settings are the ones that affect all programs the same.

Maybe a hardware flaw but always best to run the check on global control settings before taking kronos apart or sending it in.
