i-series styles for PA4X

Post by GatesOfDelirium »

Is there a resource for downloading i series styles.
I tried korg.com for factory preload but it is not there.

Kind regards

Hi Michael

Do you need these for your i3 or your PA4X?

I have them and can make a download link for you.

Cheers

Hi Pete

Thanks for the quick response.

I am buying a PA4X tomorrow and thought it would be nice to load up some of the old i3 styles. Mick and Keith etc lol.

I thought that there might be a resource page for all the old i and PA series arrangers.

A link to anything that is available would be great and very much appreciated.

Kind regards
Michael

Another slight problem

User style 2 loads no problem
User style 1 only partly loads it then comes up with an error saying conversion failed.

It's not the end of the world but I'm just concerned I'm doing something wrong.

Kind regards

Hi Michael

Loading i-series styles into the PA4X requires you to load the styles individually.
Hopefully the "error" will not happen if you do that.

Please let me know if the problem persists and let me know which styles are causing problems and I'll check my files.

Cheers

Hi Pete

Loaded individually and all is well 🎆

I'm presuming you have to try and emulate the original arrangements once the style is loaded and this cannot be done automatically.

Yes, correct Michael.

ARRANGEMENTs do not exist as such on PA4X and the PA series does not understand i-series arrangements when it comes to loading.

I'm pleased you got the styles working - I still believe some of those i3 styles are as good as (if not better than) the current styles.
The i3 "Big Band" style was the reason I instantly bought the i3 - it was a revolutionary arranger IMHO - loved Korg ever since!!!!
I remember my local dealer calling me up and saying "I've got this new arranger from Korg...you've gotta come immediately and hear it....." - I went down to the store and he greeted me with the i3 Big Band intro1 - that was all I needed to hear - it's funny but that style, although still available, sounded better on the i3 than the revamped versions on the PA series!!!!

Enjoy your new i-PA4x

FWIW, I tried these Pete, but nearly all throw the error message "Not A PA File" and yep, loading individually.

Hey miden

That's odd

Just confirming you are loading the STYLES individually (and not the banks)....????

Cheers
