monotribe lights blinking

My monotribes 8 sequencer lights keep blinking continuously every time I turn it on.

I turn it on, rec is blinking, press a button like drums or synth, and all 8 steps start blinking. Can't use most buttons after.

When I press synth or one of the drums I can't edit the steps they just keep blinking

What do I do to get it to return to normal?
