Korg KONNECT speaker-amp vs PaAS

Post by Mitzie »

Thanks Mitzie for your post, I have spent all morning looking at the Korg Konnect. Downloaded manual and read the Spec. But I cant find anyone who has used it with a keyboard.

It would be good to keep your thread going (Korg Konnect). Has anyone on this forum used it with a keyboard ?

At least you can position them away from the keyboard unlike the PaAS and so avoid feedback problems when using a microphone.

Hi Mitzie

I am still trying to decide what to buy. Here is a comparison between PaAS and KORG Konnect.

PaAS
System
3 Channel Amplification System
Power
2x20 Watt (Middle/High Frequency) + 1x40 Watt (Subwoofer)
Speakers
5 Speakers: 2 Middle range (80 mm) + 2 Tweeters + Dual Coil Subwoofer (130 mm)

The Korg KONNECT is a compact, highly portable PA system boasting premium-quality sound reproduction and wireless Bluetooth connectivity. The Korg KONNECT PA System is ideal for parties, live performances, DJ use and more, thanks to its high-quality sound and playback capabilities. It features a 6.5-inch woofer and two tweeters that deliver 180W of power in total, as well as a bass reflex design for powerful low-end. Its multi-purpose design makes it highly versatile, including high-quality effect per channel as well as master reverb. The Korg KONNECT stereo PA system also includes optimal EQ presets that are designed to cater to different music styles and instruments. A feedback suppressor helps to eliminate feedback, and the KONNECT can also be mounted on a speaker stand for added flexibility

Thanks Mitzie

Hi Dylan

A number of retailers here in the UK allow you to buy and try equipment with the option of returning equipment within a 30 day or even 60 day window> this is perhaps your only way forward.
Certainly Terry raves about the Konnect unit with the Pa4X

If you do purchase a Konnect please please write a review for the Forum
Best Regards

Hi Peter

Just a couple of quick points. Terry does not use a MICROPHONE so we can not compare here. PaAS speakers should come with a HEALTH WARNING. If you are a singer and want to use a microphone then please do not buy them. If you think that you will NEVER need a microphone then they are very good.

Secondly why can`t we find PA4X users with Korg Konnect ? Surely someone from Korg could do an online DEMO. No one on the planet using Korg Konnect ? Baffled, totally baffled.

Pete mentioned that he used a good quality HI FI system some time ago and he was more than happy with it. Even at venues. So looking at that now as another option. As well as outside speakers of course.

Thanks Peter

why not get a BOSE S1 PRO. Now they are sold with a lithium battery pack and lasts 7 hrs. You can use stereo inputs or mono inputs. I use two of them.

Thanks Paul for the 'heads up' on the Bose S1 Pro . A little more powerful than the Konnect and there's plenty of keyboard players using them -see Sweetwater website:
https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail ... em/reviews

....and many Genos players are using them

Korg is again missing out in not promoting the Konnect for keyboardists
