Latency with H9i bluetooth headset, iphone ipad

Post by Viaren »

Hi,

I was trying out these ANC Bang Olufsen H9i headphones yesterday and thought they were nice for traveling with my new job. However I found that the latency was totally useless with any music production related stuff. It was maybe half a second of latency which is even useless for gaming and possibly watching movies. Anyone else experienced this? Is it even possible to use bletooth headsets at all with music production? What to do with new ipad without 3,5mm plug?? 😭😭

No discerning musicians will use bluetooth for music production as it is such low quality, including its application of uncontrollable audio compression. If you are going to use the iPad DAC, you can use cabled headphones through the dongle.

Thank you for the input, but it is not for music production, its just for sketching ideas in gadget when i dont have things to do at work. Lots of travel and dead time far away from civilization. I think it will be fine since I will do the final work in my studio.
