Korg Pa4x Keybed on other keyboards???
Hello guys!
Does anyone know on what other keyboards could I find the exact keybed of the Pa4x - and of course I am not refering to the Pa2x and Pa3x here.
I have a Pa4x76 and I just love the keybed, both for piano and any other instrument, and I would like to buy another cheaper keyboard that has the same keybed. It can be a synth, doesn't have to be an arranger, or a midi controller, but it has to be the exact same keybed.
I don't think think they only implemented this superb keybed on only one instrument, no? What do you think?
Really hoping for some light here!
Take care guys. All the best to you!

Hi Reidoo
Have to admit that my PA4X-76 keybed is the best I've had in any keyboard.
Also admit that my Kronos is very similar.
Fabulous keybeds particularly compared to Nord and Yamaha (personal opinion)
Tyros5-76 and Genos keybeds have a hard "short-fall" feel.
I played my PA4X-76 next to a PA4X-61 and thought there was a noticeable (but not bad) difference. The 61 seemed a little lighter.
I also liked my PA3X-76 keybed but the PA4X-76 is definitely nicer for me.
Cheers
Pete

Had no ideea that the pa3x keybed was different from the pa4x, and especially that the 61 modell is a little different than the 76.karmathanever wrote:Hi Reidoo

So, no other keyboards or brands have the exact same keybed?
Funny thing about the Yamahas.
I have tested next to each other a Tyros 3, Tyros 5 76 and a Genos.
The Tyros3 had the best keybed for me, because it had the deepest travel lentch. Strange, I know. T5 and Genos were the same.
So, no other instruments with the same Pa4x keybed? They only implemented it on this one?
I kinda hope I can find the same keybed on another instrument.
Maybe Kurzweil? Or on a midi-controller?
Someone told me that the old Roland G800 had a very similar keybed, but I never got to play one.

That is absolutely great. Hope they answer and give an exact model name!Snoopy wrote:Hi reidoo,
just send an eMail to Korg and ask them what keybed is used in PA4X.

Just found this thread:
https://www.gearslutz.com/board/electro ... isted.html
It lists a lot of keybeds that are used on different modells.
It seems a little older, they don't have the pa4x but apparently the 2x and the 3x have Fatar TP/8SK.
I don t see it on any other modells, the closest beeing Fatar TP 8S and Fatar TP8 Piano. What could be the difference?

From a german Forum :
"Pa4x ist mit Sicherheit wieder eine Fatar TP/8S, da das Ding in Italien gebaut wird und schon in den PA3-Modellen genau diese drinsteckt."
...In PA4X there is for sure a Fatar TP/8S because it´s build in italy and as well in PA3X...
