New OS V3 due late february
Korg Pa4X, 2018 MacBook Air, Logic Pro X, Mainstage 3.
What does this mean?
"It is now very easy to connect small keyboards, mixing surfaces, percussive pads – the full catalogue of our KORG nano series of controllers! Just connect them to the USB HOST port, choose the dedicated MIDI Preset, and you are ready to go with a pad controller, second keyboard or remote control of the sound"
Is this JUST for Korg controllers or any controller? If it's just for Korg controllers...didn't this already happen with the V2 update?

Can't wait to try/see this improvement :
Improved mono solo instruments
The Mono Legato and Portamento Time parameters have been revised to make monophonic solo instruments more realistic when playing legato. By finely adjusting the timing and stretching when connecting notes, the sound will now play smoothly making it more inviting for the performer and audience. There are a few new sounds showcasing this new feature.
Also, shame revised GUI, but still in low resolution.

Third version and still no user interface at display's native resolution. Same blurry user interface.
Much better definition on pa3x ... pa2x ...
They redraw the interface from scratch and didn't listen to reviews...
See for yourself:

Nice move from Korg, they're still working on Pa4X after 4 years from the first release and we enjoy this so much. It's kind of having my 3rd keyboard for free instead of selling and buying a new one in a soooo short span ...
It's funny starting to hear complains even before the os being released nevertheless. People is never satisfied unfortunately, sad but true.
For what I see there are some nice features, hopefully good for the average customer, some of them also for me. So far so good.
I like the video too
Very good feeling today.
Cheers

I tend to agree...function and performance is more important and I think the change in graphics will be more immediate in low light conditions playing live for instance... So at this late stage nearing the end of the PA4x production life (following past time cycle trends) then I'm not complaining with any continued work on this platform from korg... Q. I wonder could it be that having hi resolution graphics would constrain other aspects of performance from a hardware point of view ??Astrolasia wrote:I don’t see what the problem is with the display. You can read it easily enough, how much time does any of us spend sat staring at it?

Well done Korg.
I am just an old chap who plays about at home, however I welcome the update although I do not use many of the existing features.
What I do know is that I will be ordering another box of 120g paper in order to print out the new manual.
Best wishes

The big question for me is; with 3 gb of RAM available, is Korg releasing new sounds to take advantage? Have they made moving samples from the Kronos to the Pa4x easier, i.e. Plug-n-Play? I especially would love to use some of my Kronos sound libraries without having to do major surgery.
