Patch Edit in Sequence Mode

Post by SMUDGE »

Can I edit a patch while in sequence mode, auditioning a patch edit in real time as the sequence plays?

You can edit with Tone Adjust. Otherwise, you'll need to switch back and forth between Program and Seq modes.

I am able to use tone adjust on track 1 only. When I switch to other tracks and try to adjust the tone it only affects track 1, regardless of which track is selected. What am I doing wrong?

You'll need to select the track you want to edit on the P0–2: Play/REC Control screen. So, press the Page Select button, then choose P0–2: Play/REC Control on the screen. Touch the Control Surface tab at the bottom right. Next, if necessary, press the Tone Adjust button on the panel. I know, that's a lot of steps to get to the right screen. But there you can choose the track you want to Tone Adjust on. If you want to read about it, the info is on page 216 of the Parameter Guide.

By the way, you can also modify the Tone Adjust settings here -- you don't have to stick with the defaults. Pretty much anything you'd ever want to adjust inside a program is available to select.

Thank you very much. I was able to edit patches individually while in sequence mode. Sorry for asking about something that was in the manual, but for some reason I wasn't putting 2 & 2 together. Literally. I wasn't selecting Track 2 when I was editing Track 2.
