I believe Korg is going to milk the Kronos for 2-3 more years. The Korg Krome is being replaced. Excited to see it. ;)

From a financial perspective, this means I have until the end of 2020 to decide (and save $$) as I will not buy for at least 12-18 months after its release (not to mention that Australia will most likely be the last to get them).

PA5X (or whatever it is called) will need to be something quite massive in order for me to consider a change - I am still scraping around the edge of my PA4X - so so much still to learn and try out - the keyboard is quite mind blowing (well, it is to me :D ).

Do you think the next arranger will be a 5x (small upgrade from the 4x with different color) or do you think they will completely revamp the pa series arrangers and start a new family for years to come?

I honestly think it’s time to get rid of the Pa series and bring the arrangers to a whole new level. Start a new series. Bigger screen. Better sounds. Larger sampling space. Completely new body, frame and layout would be uncredible.

when it comes to keyboard instruments, don't expect anything like that from the current Korg management.

I hope they continue to enhance the PA4X (like the Kronos) - Korg has been pretty awesome in this regard.
PA4X already has a newly designed OS from previous models, then V2 and now V3.

Genos, MZ-X500, EA7 have different colours, different frames, different OS's, different layouts, different screens......so choices are already there

I would not be happy if Korg drop the PA-series.

Come on Korg take my money! Where is the Pa5X? I guess I'll be stuck with the Genos for another year or so!

Checked out the new EK-50, it has the 2 timeless (really awesome) korg styles from pa in it: “flipper 6/8” and “groove ballad”.

Too bad the sequencer on EK-50 is very limited

What are the chances of a new arranger coming out at musikmesse?

My personal guess would be about 0%

I don't believe that they will have spent all the time and development money on V3 whilst pushing out a new model.

Just my thoughts.... but really no-one knows

Cheers

I would agree, a bit pointless,as you say, to spend a lot of time and resources on developing V3 then bring out a new model in September, in my opinion a lot of wasted money and I can’t see Korg doing that. Just my opinion.
