Using an 88-note keyboard with the Pa3X

Post by mentoragency »

I want to use a Previa, 88-note KB as an external Midi source to the Pa3x but have been unable to use the Previa as a substitute to the Pa3X KB. The Previa KB will not control chords in the split mode or transpose using the Pa3x Transpose buttons. Obviously, I need to set up the midi control parameters to do this, but have not found the manuals any help or relateable.
Anyone out there who can help?

Hello!
The procedure to use "Privia" as a Master Keyboard is this:
In Style Play mode on Pa3x:

1) Select GLOBAL
2) Select MENU
3) Select MIDI
4) Select "Current Midi Setup" on 02 Master kbd "
5) Select the second "Midi In control" window
6) Select "CHORD 1 MIDI CHANNEL" and enter the value at 0 "
7) Select "Write Global-MIDI setup at the top right and select OK
8) Select "EXIT"
9) Select at the top right "Write Global -Style Play Setup and select ok.

Point 9 is essential so that when the Pa3x is restarted the settings will remain saved

Best regards
