Midi Editing - help needed

Post by Reidoo »

Hello guys!
I'm preety sure this will sound like a dumb question, but please help me with something!
I open a midi file in sequencer, start changing the sounds and tempo, save the song in another location, exit, and when I open it in player, all the sounds are changed and the tempo is still the same?
What am I dooing wrong????

Note: the sounds I am trying to assign are local (not user, factory or legacy, they come from an encripted ethnic bought set, and it's a new category that apears once you have the purchesed card in the card slot.
Current: PA4x76, Roland FP50, Pa900 turned into module
Past: Pa3x Le, Roland GW8, Yamaha PSR S750, P95

Hi Reidoo

The original MIDI may well have embedded PC and CC messages in it and these can mess up the playback.
Same with tempo.

Where did the original MIDI come from? Perhaps check it out on a PC sequencer first and make sure there are no embedded MIDI messages.
they come from an encripted ethnic bought set, and it's a new category that apears once you have the purchesed card in the card slot.
As long as the MIDI location messages match the locations of these sounds they should play back correctly - I guess these will be in your USER sound banks somewhere - the manual will give you the MIDI message (e.g. CC0 CC32 PC) required to access these.

Cheers

Have a look at Event Edit, Master Track (the one below Track 16).
Here you should find Tempo Events which you can edit.
