I use the Japanese Grand a lot but not with a band so not sure how it blends or sounds through loud speakers that way. It sounds really good with choirs and occasional instrumental duets .

Berlin Grand is my favorite so far in band context and mixes, followed by the German Grand for solo play.

I like the Jordan Rudess Japanese Grand that I tweaked to my own ears.
Bass and keyboard player, not usually at the same time, but sometimes in the same song!
Boards: Kronos 2, and Hammond SK1
Basses: Fender, G&L

This is so personal I'd say. But for me I use:

Jazz, Berlin and German. Latin and Rock usually the Japanese or Jordan Rudness.

I will tweak them depending on the room as well. Some have mentioned tweaking and writing their own. The beauty of KRONOS is that you can do that to your liking.

When gigging, I use various versions the German Grand about 80% of the time and the Japanese Grand about 20% of the time. I have made edits to the parameters and the FX to compliment my playing style and the song I am playing. I only use the Berlin Grand when I am playing piano only. I can't seem to get the edits to it that work for me on the German and Japanese grands. But, as said thousands of times on this forum, the piano sound is a personal taste thing. They are all good.

I know that the Berlin Grand is included in the newer Kronos before the SE.

I wonder if the Berlin along with the Italian are included with the SE?

From the ones that come pre-installed in the Kronos: German Grand.

From the Korg shop and all around favorite: Purgatory Creek Acoustic Samples C7.

I have seen the Extra Voice Name List [Programs] list for the Italian on the SE but not the complete Program/combi list.

I am 99% sure that Korg included all instruments/programs etc from the 2015 Kronos, in addition to the Italian and KaPro EXs on the SE.

I love the Berlin Grand personally. With the way this sounds, I really feel like this is truly one of the best keyboard workstations available.
