Monologue system Updater 1.14 not working

Post by Godric »

Hi

I just updated the Korg USB Drivers on my laptop and then installed the Monologue sytem updater 1.14. I am following the update instructions PDF and have repeatedly tried doing what is stated therein.

It doesn't work. The updater says "Found no MIDI port", which I take to mean that it can't see the monologue. Using the config menu to manually select the port doesn't work as the monologue does not appear in the dropdown list.

Running the "Configure Korg USB Driver" app shows that there is a "Monologue #1" apparently connected. So it seems the drivers are working but the info they produce is not getting to the updater app.

Any ideas or better still experience as to how to get this working?

Thanks in advance.

I would suggest you to uninstall korg drivers, restart your OS then re install, then restart again, and try again.

It has something to do with the number od Midi ports in your system. You need to delete some on the lower Port numbers so that wehen you re-connect your monologue it will use these lower numbers as the Updater only sees these lower Ports.

Thats from memory, maybe it can help you.
