There is no delete command:
- just copy an initialized program to the one which you don't want any more
- or use Michel's pcg-Tools and choose "clear" from the menu

To initialize a whole bank, change it's settings from EXi to HD-1 (or vice versa) and then back.

Both a bit weird (there should be commands to initialize programs or banks in the Kronos OS), but no big deal either.

To initialize a whole bank:

1) Go to GLOBAL mode, BASIC tab page.

2) Select the dropdown menu (upper right) and select SET PROGRAM USER - BANK TYPE.

The KRONOS has 2 types of programs, EXi (Synth engines) or HD-1 (Sample based). If you have an HD-1 bank and just want to have initialized HD-1 programs, select HD-1. If you want to change it to blank EXi programs, select EXi.

You can save any of these banks as part of a PCG file. If you want to initialize the Factory A - F banks, you can go to DISK mode and select the PCG file. Then select OPEN, so you see the initialized bank. (Select OPEN one more time for a single initialized program to load.) Select the bank, then press LOAD on the touchscreen. A popup screen will appear with a destination, which can be a Factory or USER bank.

To restore factory programs, go to DISK mode and find the FACTORY folder. If you made your own programs, then save them as part of a PCG file, first.

EDIT: I started writing this post, then went to verify on my keyboard. When I posted, there already were two responses. :D :D

You can also load an initialized Program bank using my INIT.pcg file:

You can use the above file to initialize other banks as well -- Combis, DrumKits, Wave Sequences, and Set Lists.

nassarius.vibex: You can't 'delete' a program. Programs are not separate files, they are memory slots. They can either have a customized program or an initialized program (default).

There is no advantage of initalizing a program, and there is no overhead on memory or KRONOS for leaving the programs as is. So, I don't think there is any 'need' to delete a program.

All programs in KRONOS, both the in Internal and User Banks can be overwritten and customized by the user. So, technically ALL banks is KRONOS are user banks, except the GM programs.

If you only want to clear the names (so it is obvious some patches are not used), you can also use PCG Tools to clear:
- one or more program banks, combi banks or set lists at once
- one or more programs, combis or set list slots at once

Not sure if anyone is still monitoring this topic but is there a way to clear user banks of combinations too for a clean working slate. The program change method above worked well.

thats correct. No one, to my knowledge, ' monitors ' old topics.

Other than the above specific software, [which I have not used] , I use a manual approach.

I over write the unwanted Combi with a 'blank ' Combi or Init Combi.

There might be a simpler way. Maybe wait a day or 2 in case others see your post.

Dropdown menu in upper right, Initialize Combi. Check the box "all combis in this bank"
