Free Drum Samples + Set + Style

Post by korgpa2xmaster »

Hi guys!

I just made this set with a drum kit i sampled earlier this year in my studio. The set is made on a Korg Pa3x, it would be great if someone can confirm if it works on a Pa4x. I hope you'll like it:)

Enjoy!

What would be nice is some Epic style Taiko drums.

Sounds like a great idea. Sadly i don't have access to Taiko drums, so sampling those would be quite a challenge.

A 3X Set can be loaded on a 4X. So yes, it would work on a 4X too.

Yes I can load your Pa3X set into the Pa4X.
Drums are way too loud in style, and the accompaniment tracks very quiet.
But maybe you have mixed so much ?.
DSP's are also active.
Floor Tom sounds shorter than the others.
Sounds good.

Well, you can always adjust levels to your liking, this setup works best for me, as i rarely play alone and use right hand actively. Add live guitar player, right hand, vocals and you might find the levels just perfect ;)

DSP should be active, it acts as master compressor for drum track. Common technique in mixing drums. Actually a must for moddern drum sound. If you noticed there is no Korg's shi#*y reverb on the drums, all the ambience you hear on the drums is sound of drum room microphones in my studio. Master limiter controls room ballance as well.

You can adjust decay on floor tom, the sample has full length. However most drummers dampen floor toms as they have a lot of bass, and long decay time causes havoc on PA.

all samples of PA series work on Korg Pa4x. But, I think Pa4x has better samples of drum kits.
2022 = Korg PA5x
2015 = Korg Pa4x 76
2007 = Korg Pa800
2004 = Korg Pa1x
2000 = Roland Va-7
1998 = Roland E-86
1996 = Yamaha ?!

Not bad, now you need percussion and you are set, dynamix is the best for these type of sampled drums.
