New Volca bass not saving parameters

Good Morning all!
New user here and new to Volca series. Although reading the news paper manual, I keep waking up to my bass powered down despite turning off auto power off mode and saving.
Also, bass freezes after first powering up and is not responsive despite ordering the correct power supply. I then need to remove the ac cable to either turn on or off the Volca. Once midi note data is sent from DAW and if I don’t even think about touching the bass, it runs flawlessly and I’m a happy camper. Thank you for any assistance you can give.
