Good night everyone. We have a problem with the korg SQ 1. Ableton is sending MIDI CLOCK via USB to the SQ-1. When we press start button on the SQ 1 it works normaly. When we press start button on ableton, SQ 1 stop sending MIDI notes.
We are using ableton 10.3, instaled on a notebook with windows 10.

Hi,
The MIDI implementation chart suggests it: It will only send MIDI notes when the SQ 1 is clock master.
Mine shows the following behaviour:
* Both on the USB MIDI out as the DIN MIDI out it is transmitting the sequence as MIDI notes when the SQ 1 is clock master.
* As soon as I put a clock on the USB MIDI IN port, the MIDI notes of the sequence are no longer sent out, neither on USB or DIN. But probably still as CV/Gate signals - but I can not check that. Though I clearly see that SQ 1 is slaving its tempo.
So it is a limitation of the SQ 1. I don't understand the design philosophy of that neither.
Note also that it is mainly targeted to control other devices with CV/Gate signals... but yes, too bad...
Have fun.
