DELETING ONE NOTE FROM PIANO TRACK
Hi!
I just saw the post about deleting notes from a drum track.
I want to delete one note from a piano track.
I have gone to "Track Edit," then "Shift/Erase Note.
Then, I have entered the correct measure.
I think the problem is my Note Range. Is middle C just considered
C or C1?

There's a more flexible, and perhaps easier, way of deleting (and altering) notes. In the left hand column of the window that opens up on the Track Edit page, you'll see the 'Event Edit' option.
Click on that, and it takes you to all the sequencer events. Find your note, click on it, and you'll see three options come up at the bottom of the screen - cut, copy and insert. Click on 'cut', and that will do the trick.
This page is also useful for a number of other tasks. By clicking on each part of the note event, you can alter its position, the note value, velocity and length. Also, you can copy the note and insert it again elsewhere if you choose.
You can also insert new notes and control data, by clicking on 'insert'.

Thank you for that extra suggestion! I had wondered where I could see all the notes. I used to record, using a Kurzweil K2000, & could see a listing of all the notes in Edit mode. It was a lot different than the Korg.
I can't wait to work again & try editing with this new knowledge.

Okay - I am in Track Edit mode. I have looked for "Event Edit" . I see nothing on the left side of the screen. The display has tracks 1 through 16 in blue.
Underneath, it says "Master." Then, there are tracks 1 through 16 in brown.
I clicked on the Track Edit menu. Now, I see "MIDI Event Edit." I clicked on it.
It says "Set Event Filters." This is not what you mean.
I don't know what to do.

Actually, that is it. It's actually called MIDI Event Edit (used to be Track Edit on older Korgs.) You set the filters depending on which data you want to view (all of it, or only certain types of events) and then continue.Redbyrd wrote:Okay - I am in Track Edit mode.
