EMX 1 with a Keystep

Hi - I did a quick search here and on google, and didn't find an answer - so I hope someone here might be able to help. My EMX1 doesn't respond to the pitch bend (or mod wheel) of my keystep. I know it is supposed to respond to pitch bend - there is a setting to change how many semitones it will bend. in MIDI Utility, D C E and N are all set to "O". any ideas? I don't have another keyboard to troubleshoot, but I know my keystep sends pitch bend, I have a MOOG Slim phatty that responds to it. Thanks!

Do you have a MIDI interface for your computer? For troubleshooting you could send Pitch Bend messages from software.

Does the EMX respond to other MIDI messages?

Is the Keystep sending Pitch Bend on a channel the EMX responds to?
