Lowering volume

Post by progkid2112 »

Hi there,

Is there a simple way to lower the master volume of a combi on the Korg Kross? Seems like such a simple thing but I can’t figure it out. And I’m not referring to lower the MIDI volume, because that seems to affect the tone of the sound as it limits what velocities are able to be played. I’m talking decibel volume.

I ask because some combis I really like but are relatively too loud. Lowering the midi volume erases effects that you get when you strike the keys hard. Appreciate any help, thanks.

Hi! If you are referring to Kross 2, unfortunately there is not a master volume parameter. You should adjust each timbre level on the mixer page. Or if the timbres are routed to an fx then adjust its output volume there. I missed this master level parameter, it is very useful on the microStation, which has got the same sound engine.
