Wait...WHAT Ethernet port?KK wrote:Read the topic below, seems that guy made it work as you need. In my case, I have a direct connection from my Kronos to a router. For this, I installed a RJ45 female jack on the bottom wooden panel, which is connected directly to the K2 motherboard Ethernet port.manishthatte wrote:Any solution will be much appreciated.

Hi there,
If your Kronos is not under warranty anymore, it is relatively safe and easy to install a direct connection if you want to transfer files via FTP between your Kronos and a PC + router basic configuration. It's much quicker than transferring files from a PC to an USB key, then to your Kronos. Simply use the internal Ethernet port inside the unit.

Re: Which usb -> ethernet adapter do you use?
In 2017, I've bought a TRENDnet TU2-ET100. https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B00007 ... UTF8&psc=1ChrisDuncan wrote:[edit]
Anyone purchase an adapter recently that works on 3.1? Would be grateful for any recommendations.
Thanks,
Chris
It works perfectly with 3.1.2, 3.1.3. It is still available in France. I've had a look to Amazon US and didn't find the same reference.
But, why wouldn't you buy one (it is not so expensive), test it, and send it back to Amazon if it doesn't work ?
This one for example https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Ethernet- ... s9dHJ1ZQ==
Re: bumping...
I decided to check in eBay. The Apple adaptors seem to be pretty easy to track down both as pre-owned and new-old stock. They aren’t very expensive; I picked up a couple, and they worked out of the box. It’s worth considering.manishthatte wrote:Folks,
Any progress on this front?
My problem is, I can't run LAN cables in my house, because everything is concealed. So, what I will need to connect the Kronos to the network is = USB (which will connect to the Kronos) -> Wifi adapter (Which will connect to the wifi network.
Problem is, wifi adapter is not recognised by the Kronos, because I cannot install the necessary drivers on the Kronos.
Any solution will be much appreciated.
Many Thanks,
Manish

If your system is out of warranty, open it up and you will see an actual computer motherboard with all the bells and whistles (parallel port, serial port, PS2 keyboard/mouse connections, VGA, etc.) including an Ethernet port. I am not sure if the majority of these ports work or not, but from what I have heard is that the Ethernet port seems to work fine.

FWIW, I bought this adapter from Amazon (UK): Plugable USB 2.0 to Ethernet Fast 10/100 LAN Wired Network AdapterChrisDuncan wrote:Anyone purchase an adapter recently that works on 3.1? Would be grateful for any recommendations.
It works fine on my Kronos X 61. I don't think the O/S matters; it still works now I've upgraded to v3.1.3.
HTH.

Hey, guys.
I could have sworn I followed up on this, especially after so many people tried to help me, but apparently I didn't. Sorry 'bout that.
Ultimately I found an Apple adapter on Amazon that was "new old stock," i.e. it was the old generation from the time period of the Kronos release, but a new item that had never been purchased. Plugged it in and it worked as expected.

Thanks for the tip on the one you found. Hopefully the Apple one never dies but it's good to know there are additional options.
