Reaper syncing with Korg Kronos

I'm trying to transfer sequences from kronos to reaper , so I'm running reaper as master , kronos as slave .
The play button in reaper works fine , kronos responds and is correcty synced
However when I press record in reaper , Kronos immediately jumps to the last bar of the sequence . I can work around this by going into record mode from play mode , but this means I cant record tracks in sync
I'm not sure if reaper or kronos is doing this
Hopefully someone out there has an answer

my answer could not be the one you are waiting for but anyway :
I always use my Kronos as master (and not slave) when I use it within my DAW

I found the fix ! In sequencer mode , under preferences , I changed recording mode to auto punch in .
Reaper as slave has a spectacular flashing red square that says its waiting for timecode . but I couldnt get the kronos to send it .

Hi,

I cannot get Reaper to slave to the Kronos for timecode. I've tried setting the Kronos' MIDI Clock to Internal and Auto USB, and "Enable synchronization to timecode" as well as trying all available timecode inputs (SPP, MTC, ASIO etc) in Reaper.

The other way round works fine (Reaper as master and Kronos as slave).

Is slaving Reaper to the Kronos possible? I just get the red waiting room in Reaper!
