Hello
Do you know if there is a solution to control ENSEMBLE functions with aftertouch or velocity ?
For instance I's like to activate trills with aftertouch ....

I don't think so but even if you did get it working, the actual ENSEMBLE would not be effective until a new note is played..

You can do a multiple oscillator 2 cycle tempo linked (or not) tremolos with LFO linked to aftertouch or velocity or over a dozen other controllers though

You're talking about 2 totally different things !oliv73 wrote: - Do you know if there is a solution to control ENSEMBLE functions with aftertouch or velocity ?

- First one , ENSEMBLE is the way a SOUND layer in KBD set is controlled via chord recognition due to produce harmony
notes & duets when playing solo notes in right hand area.
- Second reference has to do with articulation control of a specific sound like trills you have mentioned , where trills multisample of an
acoustic instrument is assigned in one OSC of SOUND and its controlled via AMS send at AT/Velocity or any other controller like +-Y/sw1-3.
If you don't own samples of natural instrument's trills , you can emulate them using Square LFO assigned to pitch control AMS , but it
always sounds fake if applied to acoustic instruments samples.
For any of above cases , deep knowledge of Pa SOUND engine & DNC2 features is required.

Thanks for your reply
In fact there is a TRILL mode in ENSEMBLE functions that works great on PA4x. But it's always in binary STATE (ON/OFF). So I wanted to activate them while playing (velocity aftertouch).
But it seems it's not possible.
In sound mode , we can program 2 osc with different pitch.
But to activate them in CYCLE mode , we have to replay the note each time .
Is it possible to activate them alternatively regarding tempo ?
You're right The best way would be to assign a trill multisample to OSC ...
OR to continue to play them manually

Hmm , you're right it exists in functions menu there , I had forgotten since I don't use this !
I use Ensemble only for Brass & Strings with specific settings I've programmed in my sound development.
There are 2 ways to create manually a trill articulation in SOUND mode
- The proper one has been already mentioned , you can use one of two independent LFO or master LFO in square waveform and use
pitch AMS >5:00 in an OSC that is enabled via a controller like +-Y or SW.
- Use the ribbon as manual global control of all OSC with tone or semitone pitch AMS to ribbon and define manually trills speed by
knocking upper or lower surface of ribbon.
DNC2 engine Cycle feature can be used only for wave sequencing or Round-Robin.
Hope this helps
