Microkorg xl triplet arpeggiator

Post by brotherwolf87 »

Hello group.
The manual says you adjust Resolutn to get a triplet pattern for the arpeggiator. I have no clue on how to access that. The manual is not very clear on how.

Hi,

You can access it via the "Full Edit" mode. See p 23 and following ones in the manual.

In short:
1. Turn the function select knob to "Full Edit"
2. Turn knob 1 (page) till you see Arp on the first line of the display
3. Turn knob 2 (parameter) till you see Resolution on the first line of the display
4. Turn knob 3 (value) to the resolution that you want. For triplets, select 1/6, 1/12 or 1/24th.

Note that the mkXL editor on the PC makes it a bit easier to edit parameters.

Have fun.

Thanks so much for your help! One last question. Any suggestion on how to get a similar arp tone as that at 1:40 of this song: https://youtu.be/0AxQqO-kowQ

Hi,

Mmh, difficult to hear it exactly in the mix. It also goes quite fast...

Here is my 5 minutes take:
* sawtooth wave
* LP filter with some resonance
* add some noise
* AMP EG: short attack time but not 0, sustain level lower than 127

Have fun
