Monologue as a Veblen item?

Zapping through the channels on the telly, I came across the clip Sanctuary from Collective Conscience & Blackwave and couldn't help noticing that there's a Monologue in it. (It's at the 2:40 point in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBEsgvbb3Uc )

Probably all pretend though, as there's not a single cable connected and the action on the keybed is a bit suspect..
