Is microKORG Editor for Windows10 really working?

Post by michelet »

Although I did countless attempts to make it working, it seems that microKORG Editor ver. 2.0 by Crimson Technology dosn't work as expected.

In a word, although my mK has write protection set to OFF and SYS-EX transmission and receive enabled, I always got the same dialog box that informs the software can't receive MIDI messages from the device.

Then all the patches are unnamed and in their default condition i.e. empty.

It's a bug of this piece of software, because on OSX the similar application runs without a glitch.

I see that it's a 18 years old program, but why Korg doesn't find a solution?

I reply to myself.

Assuming it's an undocumented feature, microKORG must be in MIDI EXTERNAL mode. otherwise it won't receive patches.

Anyway, the Windows editor software is light years inferior than OSX version.
