Triton Sounds

Post by keithwjones »

The Triton Sounds are available for download at Korg Bonusware and can be installed into the Pa4x.

The banks are A B C D and LE. Each zip file then contains 2 files USER01.PCG and USER02.PCG. 2 banks of 64 instead of one bank of 128.

Luke at Korg World on one webinar was going to combine them to make them fit easily into the Pa4x.

I have not seen them available yet. Has anyone managed to combine them?

Hi,

I created a collection "Best from Triton & Triton LE" which combines all these banks/programs and more. Originally programmed for the PA80 but 100% compatible with PA4x. You can find it in the Korg Bonusware section.
https://www.korg.com/nl/features/arrangers/bonusware/

There are also a lot of Triton programs in the 'legacy' sound section of PA4x.

Regards,
Arjen

Pete

Was this a simple process? I have been trying to work it out for a few weeks. But I could not find a way to do it .

Great work Pete!

And maybe this one is also interesting to add to your collection:

More inspiration needed?
http://www.korgforums.com/support/triton-le.htm :D

Would be cool to add all Triton (LE) programs available in one collection. At the time I had to create best of collections since PA80 had less user programs compared to PA4X.

Hi Keith

Yes it is very simple but just takes a little patience and not too much wine
I basically backed up first, cleared out (deleted) all the USER sound banks.
Loaded a Triton bank into USER06 (used as a "work" bank)
Then copied the sounds from USER06 into USER01 in selective groups to get rid of empty gaps in the USER06
Repeated for all the other Triton banks gradually building up USER02/03/04 etc....

This sounds tedious but it is simple and quick thanks to the PA4X's bank menu tools (sound COPY/PASTE/DELETE etc...)

I could have produced this more quickly but I did not want to have the empty sound slots that are in the Triton banks files
(I'm a bit OCD with things like that :? )

Cheers

Pete

Just checked the instructions and I can cope with that.

Arjen has come up with another set so I can try adding those to bank Sound 5.

Thank you.

Yes I can do it but arjen02 has too many sounds to fit into Sound 5, so you have to make a decision to decide which ones to add.

I worked out you can add a single sound, a page by holding down shift or the whole bank. Doing the whole bank it will say not enough space.

Keith

Update

Cracked it, there was only one extra sound stopping me so I removed the one where you named the bank that had no sound. So I was using first 8 banks, then added the extra to last bank of 8, All done.

Hello
This reply is to Pete aka "karmathanever" :)
You are really amazing man.
Thanks a lot for combining all this stuff for us (I mean users like me - older and not that experienced), this is really very useful and appreciated, same as you did with all korg bonusware styles - really great job.
You are the great addition to this forum and I always take advantage of your compilations and advices - so even if I do not reply with appreciations each time - I always think - thanks man, great job
Cheers from Poland
