Splitting damper pedal effect on a program with 2 EXi's

Post by Jeremy Bender »

Hi all
I am trying to edit the Save a Prayer programme so I can hold the step sequencer arp part on note D3 with a damper pedal but not sustain the right hand synth part. This frees up left hand to play bass on another synth.
I can't seem to find a way to have one half of a program be sustained and the other not...
Is this possible please?
Thanks
Steve

Not in a Program, but there's always the old "piece of card between two keys" trick to hold down a key.

The alternative might be to make two copies of the Save A Prayer (D3) program and create two single-oscillator Programs by setting to "Off" EXi1 on one copy and EXi2 on the other, and then combining them in a Combi, and using the Combi MIDI Filters page to control the response to the Damper pedal.

Thanks voip for both ideas!

Exploring the Kronos for this reminded me what a deep and complex beast it is. There is very little you cannot do. It’s still a brilliant instrument after all the years.

Good call voip! I took a similar approach for Eyes Without A Face so that I could control the fall with the joystick/ribbon while having the second voice remain constant.

The possibilities, and capabilities, and virtually endless with the Kronos!
