Great. Thanks a million!!!!karmathanever wrote:
Yes, this compilation was based on my installation of OS3.1.0 with its complete factory styles and compared with all the bonusware to date for duplicates.
This included the styles which were also made available separately in the OS 3.1.0 update (called "Pa4X NEXT Musical Resources.SET")

Each user bank can hold 48 stylespawlikp100 wrote:Karmathanever what is total amount of styles in SET?
There are 10 FAVORITE and 3 USER banks -
......so, one SET can hold a total of 13x48=624
Link a DIRECT SET and you have 1248 user styles instantly available - plus all your factory banks!!!
No, I did not use Korg PaManager - did it all on board the PA4X - not difficult at all - would have been more time-consuming with PaManager.pawlikp100 wrote:Did you use Korg PaManager to prepare this collection or do it manually?
The PA4X on board tools are perfect - COPY/PASTE/DELETE/SORT/SELECT and preview - all there - external software tool would be a hindrance in this example.
Take care
Pete

Hi Pete,
Excellent work.
I have downloaded and unzipped and I have the file on a USB.
Can you advise instructions on how to load from a USB and link a DIRECT set. I have loaded but all the files loads under the USER tab, rather than the DIRECT tab.
I am totally confused on setting up DIRECT sets... I have asked this question before but it just doesn't sink in, despite me writing it down!!
Apologies.
Regards, Ross

No problems my friend - hope this helps....
OK, here we go
1. First of all make sure all your USER data is back to normal and you have a safety backup.
2. If you are not already using a DIRECT set then you need to "deselect" it first (see instructions below)
3. Have my bonusware SET available on your HDD or USB
4. Press GLOBAL>>MENU>>MODE PREFERENCES
5. Select Media tab
6. At bottom of the screen you'll see "Direct Folder" with a Browse button under it.
7. If there is already a reference to a direct file to the right of the Browse button you must "deselect" it first
8. So to Deselect (if required) just press the Browse button which will locate the current file, then press deselect
9. Now locate my bonusware SET - you'll need to select the media drive (USB, HDD ....bottom left)
10. Find the SET and highlight it (just press it) then press "Select"
11. My SET should now show next to the Browse button - that's it!!
Now go back and select a style as you normally would in STYLE PLAY mode, and you'll see the "DIRECT" tab at the top
Press it and you'll see all the bonusware styles
If you want to keep your PA4X in this state then perform another "Save All" just to be safe - this will save your GLOBAL "DIRECT" link.
Enabling a DIRECT SET will NOT change any of your internal FACTORY/USER/FAVORITE styles or any other settings.
Note that a Save ALL does NOT save or change any data in a DIRECT SET.
Please let me know if you do not understand this and I'll provide more detail.
Cheers
Pete

Hi Pete,
Thanks for the detailed instructions. I followed your instructions to load into the DIRECT drive, but I couldn't see the volume names.
I then realised your set name is Pa4X_Bonus.set with a subfolder called Pa4X_Bonus.set with two subfolders Global and Style.
I renamed the subfolder to A_Pa4x_Bonus.set and copied this to my USB.
So now I only had a file called A_Pa4x_Bonus.set with two sub folders, global and style on my USB . When I loaded as per your instructions the folders appeared under DIRECT with all the Vol numbers.
V01-06 in tab 1
V07-11 in tab 2 etc, etc
Perfect!!
Thanks for your help.

Hi Pete, Followed your instructions to the letter, no problems at all
used the direct way and spent 3 and a half hours enjoying the sounds
the new backing and deciding which songs I could use to match to them.
The first time in a month I have welcomed lock down !!.
I fully appreciate the hard work you have done. Many thanks, some how it
helps with all the problems that are around at this time for a while.

Hi
I am very interested in this post and the well earned thanks from those who have replied to Pete. I would like to add my thanks too. Well done.
Before I go ahead and download the Styles can I ask a question please.
I have Pa4X OS version 3.0.0 NEXT installed March 2019, as stated on screen when booting up. ( my Dealer in the UK put it on).
Would you recommend updating to the latest OS version 3.1.0 NEXT first ??
And then install the hard work of Pete`s styles.
Many thanks
