Grandstage Piano for Kronos

Post by Moonglow »

I read in another forum that the “Grandstage” piano patch from the Korg Grandstage is a combination of the German, Japanese, and Italian pianos which are distributed across various parts of the keyboard. I really like this patch and was wondering why, since it was developed from the SGX-2 engine, it is not available for the Kronos?

hey, that sounds interesting

I think we should see if Korg explained it that way

Lets say it was the words of a "Product Specialist "

If so, I would be ok with that verbal statement

I agree, If it's an official statement from Korg then it's worth looking into.

More to the point, I take that statement as an encouragement to make more of my own piano patches by working on the presets.
I've already done it many times, and the results sit better in my mixes than the presets, which sound a bit plain to my ears. It's not that I'm an expert in creating patches, but just that I think the music might have more resonance for me if some of the sounds I use are more 'me' rather than just being factory presets, good though many of them are.

How do you know he was answering the question? KK may have something else to say that he prefers to do via PM - that's fine.
