Sata cable for SSD drive
Hi All
As mentioned on a previous thread I am adding an extra SSD drive to my Kronos. I have come across a hurdle. The space inside the Kronos is very restricted. I am needing a 60cm Sata cable that has a 90 degree angle at both ends preferably, or one 90 degree end with a very short straight end at the other end. A double angled cable would be best but this seems impossible to find at around 60cms. For all of you who have been down this road what cable did you end up with? Any help is appreciated. Thanks Mark.

Yes that is exactly what I'm looking for, 24in (60cms) with two 90 degree angled ends. Unfortunately they don't send to NZ. I tried ordering on their website. It's a Canadian only Company. Thanks again KK.

Why do you need Rgiht/Right angle Sata cable ? All people I know, who has added a second SSD, just used classical one right angle Sata cable.
I've added a second SSD on my K73. I didn't get any problem with a normal Sata cable. It worked fine.
Another point : are you sure that a 60 cm cable is enough. That's the length I used for my K73.
Here is a thread about that : http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpbb2/ ... 84b46c1ff6

Thanks for replying Liviou, I took my Kronos to the Korg service place yesterday and we opened it up. The service guy only had a straight both ends cable which wasn't going to do the job. When plugging it in at the drive end it was hard up against back of the slot space and he thought it was putting a lot of pressure on the cable. For the drive end a straight short end may work but the connector has to be under 15cms.Liviou2004 wrote:Why do you need Rgiht/Right angle Sata cable ? We measured the length that is needed and 24ins is fine.

Thanks Greg I have been to Amazon's site. It seems a double angled Sata cable at 24ins is a rarity. I am sure I could find one straight end cable that will work but I would have to measure the straight end connector as to whether it would fit. We are very restricted in New Zealand at present with the covid thing. Can't go into shops, it's all click and collect. That's ok if you know exactly what you are after.GregC wrote:Amazon sellers offer a variety of SATA cablesMarkNZ wrote:KK wrote:Bought the iCAN SATA3-6G-24RR. Worked perfectly for my K2-88.
