Did Korg share the sources?

Does this mean that there will be no more updates?

This would not be the full source code of the Kronos. What this likely is, although I haven't looked at it, is some small pieces of open-source-based utility code for Linux that Korg used and or modified, and which they are required to release in keeping with the open-source license (GNU or whatever it is).

Yes, that’s what it is. Open source (Linux, gcc, utilities etc) with licenses and a handul of patches to it by Korg R&D.
None of the interesting parts of the Kronos software... :(

But it’s still a bit strange that they are doing it now, after 10 years.
Maybe there’s something going on...

Perhaps some open-source org pointed out some legal liabilities to them.

Please contact the distributor in your country to discuss the following:
"Restore Data "

this statement suggests the step is service related . the service outlet roll up to the country distributors.

thats my guess, its to help or cover service issues.

To me it looks more like cleanup work. The things you do to set your house in order just before the end of a lifecycle to roll over to something new.

Nice find by Msoft. Keep your eyes open for more clues... :)

a less sketchy clue, is to look for a new product trademark filing:

here' s the Yamaha montage filing, for example:

If there is Disc 3, then there should probably be and Disc 4
