Is buying new adapter the only way to go? I think the black plastic is still stuck in there (as I haven't found it). Or should I try to seek help to open the component?
Much appreciated

Understood, I'll do that then. Thank you for the help!voip wrote:The black plastic insulation that has broken off is necessary for the connector to latch in the power socket on the Krome. From the symptoms described, the broken off part is probably still inside the Krome's power socket, preventing the centre pin of the connector from making a good contact, and will not be very easy to get out. The power connector on the Krome may need to be replaced, plus a new adapter, or at least a new plug.
