No, it is included in the last official Windows 10 update from Microsoft.shrrdavid wrote:So the solution is to force a beta install of windows 10?
Agreed...just asked support for update on possible editor plans. Don’t expect any great news but will post if I hear anything useful.padking wrote:Would be nice to have a answer from Korg, Yes, in the futur, or nope.
I am waiting for that answer to decide if I will keep my wavestate or not.
It's a great synth but with my eyesight it's a real pain to try and edit new patches.
Mine is for sale.rmgatl wrote:Agreed...just asked support for update on possible editor plans. Don’t expect any great news but will post if I hear anything useful.padking wrote:Would be nice to have a answer from Korg, Yes, in the futur, or nope.

I told them I’d probably sell mine without an editor...just too time consuming.
If you do happen to come up with an editor program, I will gladly volunteer to beta test!erwincoumans wrote:Good news. I have been looking deeper into the Korg Wavestate Sound Librarian files and figured out the contents.
It is possible to read, modify and write the contents of the files, which would allow a kind of editor, will keep you posted.

What an excellent news! thanx for this! With the modwave, we've announced an Editor/Librarian.
From the official info:
"The modwave Editor/Librarian lets you edit and organize sounds via your macOS or Windows computer (including the latest Apple M1-based systems). Using USB networking for high-speed communication, it works like a second front panel for the instrument, so there’s no need to synchronize or transfer data. Animations show the effects of modulation in real-time – a great help when programming."
We are working on a very similar Editor/Librarian for the Wavestate, as well. I know that some users have expressed great interest in an editor, so I'm glad that I can finally let you know that one is on the way!

Wow, a number of assumptions there! Some corrections:shrrdavid wrote:So, about a year after the Wavestate was released, we will be getting some sort of an editor, sometime in the future. But a Synth that is not released, already has one.....
Interesting....
It will be nice to have an editor. But based on the description Dan gave, that is not exactly what we are going to get. The animations could be nothing more than an oscilloscope.
I was hoping for more of a full blown editor. So you can see everything in the sequence(s), etc.
Curious to know more about what we will get thou, and when...
Standalone. It's really pretty different from common SysEx-based editors, since it's genuinely a front panel for the synth. There's no independent data storage; everything is stored in the instrument.RC-IA wrote:@Danatkorg
Will the editor standalone only or VST/au as well? thanx
