How to get a response from Korg Support
I have been posting and submitting a help request from support on the XE20.
Crickets.
Is there a trick or secret [to me] way to get a response?
or if anyone knows the answer to my question:
Could not find how to set or change the type of effect on a sound, only the volume on an effect already in place. The ek-50 has a button to change effects, the XE20 does not.
Looked through all the faqs, videos and manuals.
Tried many, any combinations of keys.
any guidance is appreciated.

Have you read page 17 in the manual, ” Applying effects”?
Maybe that is what you are looking for.

If I understood and did correctly, page 17, I can change the level of the effects, but no way to select which effect (phase, delay, wah...).
The ek-50 has a button for effects, not the xe20. Must be a setting I did not stumble across.
Applying effects
Each keyboard set contains two effects (effects 1 and 2), which change the final output depending on the amount of sound that is sent through the effects (the send level).
Note: Depending on the type of effect, the change in sound may not be too noticeable.
1. Press the SETTING/[MEDIA] button.
2. Press the CATEGORY buttont/uto select from the P14–21 effects (for effect 1 or and the part to which the effect will be applied (lower, upper 1–3), on the screen.
Does this not work ? The manual makes it sound simple
The ek-50 has a button to change the effect type. Since the xe20 is based on the ek-50, and there is no dedicated button for effects, I was hoping to find a menu option somewhere.
Note on the xe20, when you do change the level settings, it does not say the type of effect, just the channel and effect 1 or 2.

There is a different ‘category’ for each combination of lower, upper (1,2,3] and effect 1&2. For each of these categories, only the level of the effect is controllable.
I tried the shift button in combination to no avail.
I am beginning to think it is an issue between the keyboard and chair
I really appreciate your ideas.

Just to say - Korg UK have always been BRILLIANT at user support.
I'm in Dublin, Ireland - and over the years - Korg UK have been, as said, wonderful.
Incredibly polite - and caring. I kid you not. On the multiple occasions I've bought spare parts for synths, and had to ring them - I've found their staff to be nothing short of - lovely! I mean - they give a damn! They are friendly - almost 'happy' - it's a true delight to deal with them. Even on occasions when they didn't have some spare parts - they'd check with Korg Japan to be sure to be sure...
Even their senior technical staff - when enquiring about the ARP2600 last year - they were responsive, sympathetic to my plea to try to find one, and so on.
Countrless instances - and just wonderful service every single time - and I'm nobody special - just a project studio owner / part time media composer.
