Play sounds from external MIDI

Hi.

I'm interested in buying the Electribe Music Production Station (blue).

I'm a guitar player and have the Nektar Pacer MIDI foot controller. I'd like to connect the Pacer "MIDI out" to the Electribe "MIDI in" to do the following:

1 - Use the Electribe as a Sound Module
Can I send a MIDI command to change to a specific sound?
Can I send MIDI notes to play sounds?

2 -Play Sequences on the Electribe
Can I send a MIDI command to load a previously saved sequence or pattern?
Can I send a MIDI command to start or stop a sequence?

I hope someone can simply answer yes or no to my questions above. And if you conveniently have knowledge on the specific MIDI commands I need, please share.
