padKONTROL in native mode - left panel buttons

Hi All

My first post here.

Those of you who have padkontrol, does it send out midi CC/notes or sysex via USB in native mode?

If sysex, the device would be unusable, so I would appreciate if you could let me know lest I buy the device in vain.

Also, to be sure, putting pK in native mode is a matter of sending some sysex with, for example, midi OX on windows 7?
