Monologue Transport Controls MIDI

Anyone find a way to midi map the Sequencer, to actually control your DAW?
That would be pretty damn cool.
I can only map say the record or play button in Ableton to a key or switch, but then ruins my preset iam trying to record.

Any advice , or workaround would be appreciated.

My experience is with LMMS, but as far as I can judge, the Monologue sequencer sends the same MIDI as when you're pressing keys live (including velocity) or turning dials live (from motion sequencing). Obviously, you need to have the Monologue set to allow TX of MIDI CC, which is under GLOBAL EDIT mode. But there's no way to change the MIDI code assignments in the Monologue itself.

So, it's up to the receiving end to re-map the MIDI codes if you need the MIDI codes to map to different parameters in your DAW.
