Envelope scaling - a feature request

Post by azureus »

It is currently possible to scale envelope attack, decay and release by keyboard note number via v. patch and it's cool, however in my opinion, scaling of the envelopes is such an essential part of FM sound design that it would be worth dedicating a separate parameter to scale the EG for each operator independently. This could be conveniently located on the second page of the envelope menu where there is an unused slot - it could scale the attack, decay and release in one go like in the DX7 freeing the v. patch slots for other modulation.

Also, when using damper pedal to control other parameters via v. patch, it would be useful to be able to disable the pedal's primary function of sustaining the envelopes when assigned to control something else.

I agree with this. I'd like to be able to set breakpoints and curves for envelope scaling, rather than just having to use the whole note number range.
