Prologue Compressor noise

Post by maxmarshall »

Hi guys,
I have had a 16 for about a year now and I am super dissappointed today to turn it on and find that I am getting a lot of noise coming from the right channel of the compressor when it is engaged.
I have looked around a bit but fear I will get no support as I bought it on the secondhand market which is super frustrating. Has anyone else had this issue?
I was thinking that I may be able to reseat a cable if I get inside but I wanted to ask here first if anyone familiar with these machines has some advise for me before I take any further action!

Seen one of these, it was the left channel. It was fixed by resoldering all ICs and transistors in that side of the compressor circuit.

Ok thanks for your reply. I haven't had much luck anywhere with responses so I guess eventually I will just have to open her up and hope for the best. lots of cards in there to get around!
