Larger SSD?

Hello,

After Kronos 61 and now after Kronos LS I have Nautilus 73. But I have one problem. My SSD is suddenly full. I had about 5GB of free space left and I was far from saving all the sounds I had on Kronos. The file manager is pretty spartan. It doesn't establish a network connection for me, even though I have an Ethernet adapter that works with Kronos. I ordered two more different ones to connect the PC to the Nautilus.
However, I am interested in the possibility of replacing the SSD with a larger one. The current one is 60GB. Does anyone have experience with this and what is the right path? I would replace it with at least 250GB.
And this one in addition. I bought 4 more sound banks at Kronos. Is it possible to transfer ownership to Nautilus?

The SSD is (apparently) located on the underside of the motherboard. I've opened my Nautilus and looked but the SSD is not visible. Removing the motherboard to get to the underside would take a bit of dismantling that I'm not interested in pursuing at this point. Based on the motherboard used, the SSD is likely mini-SATA. There is a rumor the SSD is soldered to the connector, but that hasn't been confirmed.

My gut tells me Korg intentionally made the Nautilus less expandable and more locked down to improve reliability. Most of the problems with the Kronos relate to internal connections, be that RAM or other connections, losing contact resulting in crashes. These are portable devices and need to be exceedingly robust.

Regarding the Kronos libraries on the Nautilus. That hasn't been worked out yet but it's possible it will be in the near future.

I really suggest you live with the limits of the 60GB. Decided what you really need and only load that onto it. I have successfully used the Apple USB-Ethernet adapter on both my Kronos and Nautilus.

I was thinking something similar. Especially in terms of extension rigidity. So the solution is only a 128GB USB key. I don’t know, however, how it will be there with the registration of an individual sound bank.

I ordered a Msata SSD 256GB and a case. Does anyone have any idea what program to use for this? I assume the operating system is in Linux format.

What are the dimensions of the 60 GB Msata SSD, is it 1.8 inches or 2.5?

I do not know. I suggest you open your Nautilus. Remove the bottom. The motherboard is held in place by four screws. On the right side (seen from the back) is a short connector that needs to be removed. Below is the SSD. Report the exact measure. I’m more interested in the fact that there’s currently nothing to get other than 512GB. At least not here. I have a concern that the SSD will be too big.

i took your advice, i opened the Nautilus and removed the motherboard and removed the 60gb Msata and replaced with a 128gb Transcend brand to test and it works the size of the new drive in media info gives 115gb. Be careful, this is Msata and not Sata! just a screw holds the SSD it's small! I have seen several sizes, from 128 to 512 GB there I will order a 256 GB (Transcend TS256GMSA230S 256GB | mSATA). I think the loading is a little faster ..., I worked with Linux to do the partition modification!
