Connecting a micro key keyboard to Behringer Model D

Post by Minimax 57 »

I have just picked up a Microkey 37 keyboard controller. Works great with both PC and iPad soft synths. However I wondered if there is a way to connect the Microkey keyboard direct to either my Behringer Model D or Prophet 5 desktop?(I normally use my Kronos keyboard as the master keyboard) Both synths have midi in and USB. I think the issue is how to power the Microkey keyboard? Any suggestions appreciated!

I don't think that the Model D is a USB host, so the keyboards wouldn't be able to work that way. You'd want some sort of intermediary unit, even a computer.

That might solve the power issue at the same time.
