the best way to create styles?
I usually create styles on Pa4x internal editor, but I lose a lot of time to create only one style.
Is there any other way to create styles, for example from cubase or sonar, by creating midi files and saving somehow to sty?
thanks

Hi there, For me is LOGIC PRO best way to do it on.
I have Cubase to, but i,m better on the Logic, so YES best way is a DAW, you have more Power, and much more control. and easy can make and extend delete parts or build more , so DAW is your sollution.
If i can help, just PM me.
Not much time, but i can try to help you to get started.
Best regards

You can create midi files and import them to each elements into the style creator. With markers entire style can be imported as one midi file too.
The tracks should be in the right order. #9 for bass, #10 & 11 for drums, #12, 13, 14, 15 & 16 for accompaniments.

there is no program that can replace human. The styles created with some program will be artificial. It's take a lot of time but worth it.
Few issues with your post Andrzejp.
Just because a certain workflow takes a lot longer, it doesn't mean it's more musical. In fact that's exactly what most people such as myself tried to avoid and that was wasting time on a real small screen with so many limitations....whereas an experienced DAW user can be super efficient and come up with much better ideas... much faster!
Then, a DAW does absolutely nothing at all for you. You have to enter the notes and come up with ideas just the same way if you used a Korg Pa4x or whatever. A DAW is not less or more artificial than the operating system of a keyboard. It's just a recording environment controlled by a user.
Now, there may be automated style maker software out there that take a pre-recorded midi and spit out a style? Such programs can not be confused with a DAW.

You can combine methods as well.
I do it sometimes and it's faster.
All you have to do is find a style that suits your needs, start recording using fast record.
Then edit the recorded song using pa4x's internal sequencer.
Don't forget to turn the guitar tracks as needed.
Re-Save the song and export it in DAW.
Continue editing the exported midifile in Daw till it meets your needs and export it again back into pa4x.
Create a new style ,or use the one you used in first place, and make the final adjustments.
Your style is ready

Right! Everyone is different. Different workflows for different needs.korg1 wrote:You can combine methods as well.
