Nautilus drum pattern midi signal external DAW

Post by anavatos »

Hi,

In Cubase I try to record a piece with a drumpattern from the Nautilus.
My Cubase settings are correct because when I hit the keys the midi signal is okay. (I hear the bass drum, cymbals etc.) However when I start the drumpattern at the Nautilus
Cubase won't record the beat.

Does anybody know the solution to solve this?

Thanks 👍

Drum Pattern from program not out to midi ch. Copy the program in COMBI.
Go to init COMBi , open MENU bar and select COPY from Program. Confirm with DT and select the Drum to Ch10.

Thank you,

I tried but it didn't work

I want to use the beat and guitar strum to record in cubase
Selected program: k007:strat p4 mute rif JS-Y

Then I selected B000: Init Combination and selected Copy from Program with all ifx/tfx/mfx selected.
To Timbre01 - Drum Timbre10

At channel 10 the Evil Dark kit is loaded, I changed the midi channel to 10.
The drums and guitar strum plays when I hit the key.

However at channel 10 or any selected Cubase there is no incoming midi signal when the pattern is playing.
What I am doing wrong?

Can you please in steps how to get this working?

Thanks!

In Combi all tracks are INT status by default. To send the MIDI message from Track 10 to DAW, press Page, Timbre Parameter and change the MIDI Ch 10 STATUS from INT to EXT.Will not hear the drum patter when recording. To can hear the sound and record the patterns to DAW Import the program in SEQ. same command as you did in COMBI. Go to TRACK parameter and select the track 10 STATUS to BOTH.
To avoid the double sound (phase from midi loop) go to GLOBAL>MIDi and unselect the Local Control On. Your nautilus will play through the MIDI DAW. When stop the DAW your Nautilus will not play so no worry, just put back the Local Control On.
