Hey everyone! First post here. Hopefully someone can help.
I just got a used M1REX, assuming it was simply an “expanded” version of the M1. However all of the patches are completely different. Many years ago my church had an M1, and I was really looking forward to getting to use some of those classic sounds again. Obviously I should have done some due diligence on my part to realize the difference ahead of time.
Is there a way I can upload the classic M1 sounds into the M1REX?

Classic M1 sounds into the M1REX
Hi Alex,
yes, of course it is possible!
You just need a sysex file containing those 'classic' patches and send it to your M1REX from a computer via MIDI (i.e. using MidiOx (freeware) ).
Set your M1's Global Section as follows:
Midi channel: 1
Memory protect: OFF
Midi filtering excl: ENA; 100/100 mode
If you PM me an email addy I can submit an appropriate sysex file if need be...
Regards,
Michael
